There’s no surprise that Bobby Witt Jr. has had some of his trading cards reach eye-boggling numbers. The shortstop for the Kansas City Royals is coming off an amazing 2024 season in the MLB, and the list of accolades will make you want to invest in some of his rookie cards. In 2024, he made his first appearance in the MLB All-Star Game, led his team to the playoffs with an 86-76 record, and was named runner-up for the American League MVP award. It’s no wonder his card market is on fire, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. With that, let’s dive into some of his highest card sales of all time!

Honorable Mention – 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Superfractor Auto

It sounds crazy to call Bobby Witt Jr.’s most sought-after rookie card an honorable mention, but if we’re ranking his cards strictly by price, it technically comes in 4th place. Bobby Witt’s 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Superfractor Auto in BGS 9.5 condition sold at Heritage Auctions in July 2020, just two months after the release of 2020 Bowman. With a sale price of $43,200, it seems the owner made a smart investment. To show just how good of a purchase this was, the Bobby Witt Jr. 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Orange Refractor Auto /25 in PSA 10 condition sold four years later on Fanatics Collect for the exact same amount as the Superfractor Auto: $43,200. Now, for the owner of the Superfractor Auto to even entertain an offer, it has to be at least $215,250 or more. If or when this card ever sells again, we’ll need to update this blog. Needless to say, Bobby Witt’s card market has definitely gone up since 2020.

#3 – 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Red Refractor Auto

Third place on the list goes to the 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Red Refractor Autograph in BGS 9 condition. This card sold at Goldin Auctions in March 2023 for a staggering $61,200. As a fun fact, no 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Red Refractor Auto has ever received a Gem Mint grade from any grading service. According to GemRate, there are two BGS 9s, one BGS 8.5, and one PSA 9 of this card.

#2 – 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Gold Refractor Auto

Of course, the hobby’s favorite parallel would make the list! Bobby Witt’s 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Gold Refractor Auto /50 in PSA 10 condition sold on eBay in February 2022 for a whopping $67,500. This card has a total PSA population of 34, with just 12 total Gem Mint copies. This pop-12 card is stunning and definitely valuable, but it has fallen in price since then. In September 2024, another Gold Refractor Auto in PSA 10 condition sold for just $14,088 on Alt. While the card has come back to earth in price, it’s safe to say it’s still a top choice for high-end Bobby Witt collectors.

#1 – 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Red Refractor Auto AGAIN

Yep, that’s right—the exact same 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Red Refractor Auto in BGS 9 condition we showed you earlier sold for an even higher price. This time, however, the card sold in May 2022, as opposed to March 2023, when it sold the first time. In 2022, the card sold for a grand total of $73,200. It was also sold at Goldin. The reason this card may have sold for more in May 2022 could be that the auction ended just a month after his MLB debut on Opening Day against the Cleveland Guardians.
